A significant difference exists between “faith” and “blind faith”. The goal of this site is two fold: work to bridge that gap for the site contributors, and hopefully help others bridge that gap as well. Do you believe in God? Are you a Christian? What concepts are core to your beliefs, and why? To study Christian apologetics is to actively seek out answers to such questions. The following is a quote from J.L. Moore regarding what apologetics is:

The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia which means “answer or defense.” It is a legal term that consists of a response to opposing accusations. This term is found in 1 Peter 3:15 where Peter says, “always be ready to give an answer/defense (apologia) for the hope that is in you…” It is also found in Philippians 1:16 where Paul says that he is “appointed for the defense (apologia) of the gospel.” Apologetics can be defined as “the practice of providing a rational defense of your faith.” Thus, apologetics is usually incorporated into evangelistic discussions only when a challenge or a tough question is raised. At that point, an “answer” or a “defense” is necessary if we are to present the gospel with credibility. If no opposing views arise, apologetics will probably not be necessary and you can proceed with the gospel.

We are not interested in basing our faith, our eternal salvation, on a blind hope. Furthermore, we want to be able to answer questions from nonbelievers who may be interested in actively seeking Christ. For these reasons we have been dedicating a portion of our time to the study of Christian apologetics. We have varying levels of expertise; however, we are all ready and willing to learn. We want to have answers. we want to strengthen our relationship with God. We want to understand exactly what it is we believe. We want to always ensure we are…
